A Return to Soft and Pretty

After a season of bold and dramatic colors for fall and winter (purples, hot pinks, turquoises), I am predicting a very soft and pretty color palette for make-up in the spring. Think muted and ethereal colors: glowing bronzes, sheer and dewy pinks, muted browns and coppers--just a complete return to a fresh face.

While I would never be without my dark, eyeliner and mascara(!), I would certainly support this look for a springtime or summertime wedding. If you are DIYing your make-up, Stila Cosmetics has some great products that will help you achieve this look.

A few of my favorites:

Barbie Trio Pots
Contains a pink and pearl shimmery eye shadow pots and a sheer pink pot of "cheek mousse." And all for $20. STEAL!

Cherry Crush Lip and Cheek Stain
weetly scented and lightly flavored, this wonder formula also contains Vitamins A, C and E for protection and moisture. Press Cherry Crush into your lips and cheeks using your fingers for a more fresh flushed looked.

Golden Noire Smudge Pot
If you know me, you know my love affair with "smudge pot" eye liner. Once you've used it, you will NEVER return to crayons or pencils. This glamorous liner has sprinkles of genuine 24kt gold flakes into the rich matte black base leaving eyes gilded and glam. Smudge it perfectly on your eyes to compliment your fresh face look.

Are you doing your own make-up for your wedding? Would you do the fresh-faced look? What are your favorite make-up products?
