I remember the first time I received a wedding invitation via email.{Horrors!!}
Obviously, I did not attend that wedding. Not that I'm that much of a snob, but if you don't think enough of me to spend money for paper and postage to send me a proper invite to your wedding, then obviously, you wouldn't expect me to shell out money for travel, accommodations and wedding gifts. Right??

Your wedding is a momentous occasion and the announcement definitely sets the tone for the entire celebration. It should definitely convey the joy and excitement that you feel. In the name of "going green," many couples are choosing to email wedding invitations and other such important correspondence, and we here at K Sherrie+Company must tell you that that is totally unacceptable! Okay--maybe we're being dramatic, but it is a major faux pas. There are some some things you can do to reduce the carbon footprint of your wedding invites and still be able to send out luxe paper suites. For more ideas, read on. . .
If you want to be eco-chic for your wedding, you have a choice of two different types of paper: recycled or tree-free. An example of tree-free paper would be 100% cotton paper. Recycled paper is made up of no less than 30% of post-consumer content. Many times, the tree free papers are made from recovered cotton fibers that are the by-products of the textile industry.

You can use soy-based ink as opposed to the regular petroleum-based inks. Soy inks are more environmentally friendly and comes in more vibrant colors. Soy-based inks require less energy to make, thus making them more economical and the ink also makes the paper easier to recycle.
Finally, save paper by eighty-sixing the inner envelope of the paper suite. Additionally, use postcards as your response cards to eliminate another unnecessary envelope AND save on postage.
